Natick MA, Dismissal of Probation Surrender

Natick District Court—a 20 year-old had three unrelated charges for Criminal Harassment, Intimidation of a Witness, and Operating after Suspension of License (2d offense). He was on probation at the time and, as a result of these new charges, was given a notice of surrender by his probation officer. I saw weaknesses in each case and requested quick dates for bench trials for each offense. On each of the three trial dates the Commonwealth agreed to dismiss the charges. As a result of the dismissal of all charges the probation officer dismissed the probation surrender.
